I have parked my E36 and put it off the road, I am really torn about my next car, on one hand I am thinking of shelling out and buying a new Toyota Hilux or Isuzu D-Max and the other part of me is bugging to get another BMW.

My last one I had for the last 5 years and never gave any major mechanical problems and I looked after it well servicing etc and it has 105k on the clock and is still pretty perfect. I have to renew the brake callipers now as they are seized with rust, I don't see the point in throwing a few hundred into a car that owes me nothing that I bought very cheaply when I imported it from the UK. I want something newer and more efficient as I am only pushing 28 to 30mpg on the E36.

I just spotted this on carzone and it would fill the gap nicely I think, I am out of touch with car prices in Ireland and wonder is this way too much? I know I could get the same car in the UK for about €3.5k to €4k + probably another grand vrt.

I'd like to get get a crewcab but recent figures I've read about them on Fuel are off putting wheras the BMW will get high 30s or 40MPG.

Sports Saloon or Crewcab, its a tough one,
