    Hi,
I have an iPad1, non-3G (don't know why as it was only bought at Christmas) and I'm happy with it. I'll be off in the West of Ireland in a couple of weeks and wondering if there's any gizmo I can buy to plug into it, like the Broadband-to-go thing you can plug into the USB port in a PC so that I can use it for the internet when I have no wifi service?

If you have an iPhone you could use that as a hotspot or the other option is to use a hotshot device which is provided by O2 think Vodafone do one also. It's basically a mobile personal wifi hotspot.
    Check it out here http://www.o2online.ie/o2/shop/broadband/detail.php?pid=80

That's great, many thanks. I hadn't known these mobile hotspots existed. Padraig

Three and Vodafone do them also. I would check out the area you are going to see which network has the best coverage. Three having the national BB scheme maybe a best option, but it can be patchy in spots

I use the vodafone myfi. Let's 5 people share the wifi. No problems with it.

Meteor also have them. So you could use their BBTG service through that
