The closest I was to Malaga was in the Costa del Sol.We did pass by it.I have heard though its very expensive there ,compared to other areas.I think people havent replied becuase of the drinking holiday bit .To be honest going to a foreign country just to get drunk is a bit much when you could do the same in the local pub.Im not judging ,Ive often gone away and drank loads. But you should try and see a bit of the area too .
After google is my friend I realise malaga is in Costa del Sol. I was ages away though in another part .But Malaga is deff the most expensive ,upmarket area.

Are you going to the city or the surrounding resorts? if its in the city you may find some cheap places as the pubs wont be geared towards tourists. if its going to be in a resort, you will have no trouble finding bars that will do happy hours etc.

    Have fun!

Malaga itself is cheap enough. Stick to the draught beer (canas) though, bottled (cerveza) it much pricier. :D

Its cheap enough, not as cheap as say ballyponza. Its a fantastic city.Go to the local tapas bars if your hungry, ull get liter pitches of good local beers and 2-3(depending on the bar) little bowl portions of savage finger food for 5 bucks.
