    Guys,

I was thinking of buying a mondeo recently, but have now changed my mind to a 08 Honda Accord.

What do you guys think of this one?

Rang cargiant and they told me it was registered in March. Is this the new model or pre 2008 model, how do I tell the difference?

    Mac

Its the old model. the new one is more angular and more aggressive looking.

Are you asking in relation to the Diesel tax rate. It's the old model, but if it qualifies for the low tax band based on emissions or whether you'll spend the child's shoe money on tax on the engine size I'm not sure.

    I was asking because,

is it a good idea to buy a car at the end of a particular generation. How will it affect resale value?

Sometimes run-out models are loaded with some extras at a lower cost than usual to get rid of them prior to the release of a newer model, so they can be good value as a secondhand buy.
People will always prefer the more current model come resale time.
It depends on how long you intend to keep it tbh - the longer you hold onto it, the less difference it will make.

Also, sometimes it's better to hold back on buying a new model car until it's well into it's production lifecycle - any recalls and teething problems should have been sorted.
