    I was considering purchasing a refurb Ipad, are they as good as new?

    never seen a refurb pad, but if the iphones are anything to go by, then yes.

    Yeap, good as new. Old insides but a brand new case fitted by Apple. You can't tell the difference bar maybe the box they come in.

    I got one. Perfect with full warranty. All my macs are refurb stuff.

    And you have the BIG advantage that you can jailbreak it. I have an iPad 2 and I am really using my ipod touch 3g more.

    An unjailbroken ios device is really very limited...the camera makes a difference though.

    For users of ios Device other than ipad 2, there is a piece of software with a ser of instructions that need to be followed to jailbreak.

    The gain is basically access to applications that are not available from Apple and increase customatization.

    I appreciate that this may not mean much, but after spending so much time with a jailbroken ipod touch, I do miss those features.
