hi, i am looking for a bit of advice on a problem which has arisen since friday.
i had a leak in my garden where the water pipe enters my house and after repacing the joints that were leaking i turned the water supply back on and now i only have water in the downstairs toilet and cistern, which are the first places to recieve water when the pipes enter house.
it sounds like an air lock, how can i solve this?

Where do you not have water now that you did have before?

Its not an airlock on the feed as the mains pressure would blow it out in a shot. Have you good mains pressure?

i have water on the basin in the downstairs toilet which is the first outlet as it enters the house, the cold water in the kitchen which is next is only a dribble and the toilet in the downstairs toilet fills as normal, no water anywhere else and the tank in the attic is onlt half full 3 days since i turned the water back on.

is there a chance a good bit of grit and dirt got into the pipes when you worked on them ?

don,t think so but not 100 % sure, if that happened surely i would have no or little water coming through the first tap and cistern which have as good pressure as before.
if that is my problem how can i fix it cos there is no way i can afford a plumber?
