My two beds are from Ikea. No issues with them, matresses very comfy. They have a range of matresses to suit all budgets, but obviously the higher you go the better they are. I'd recommended actually getting on the demo beds and testing them out. And ask the sales assisstants for advice, they're quite knowledgable on what matress might suit your sleeping position.

I also have some chest of drawers and bedside lockers from Ikea. Again no issues with them, pretty sturdy and easy to assemble.

I have ikea stuff. Its slightly better than the bargintown argos range. Loads of bits though.

The chest of drawers go together better and the hindges are better which is important.

I hear the beds are slightly smaller howerver i have not bee able to verify this.

While i accept you get what you pay for i think its reasonable standard for a normal situation

I would price anything you are going to buy in Ikea in the normal shops before going.

People seem to think its cheap and when they get there just buy what they need without consideration.

In my few visits there I have found their prices higher than my local shops, and their priceing is very deceptive. i.e. But a cd rack for 30euro, but then it is 5euro for every shelf

Not saying you can't get a good deal but just be careful and don't biuy everything you need just because you are there.

On a side note, I was getting lunch there one day and the lady would not give me chips with my chicken instead of pasta as it was pasta on the menu. Said she could give me chips as a side order even with no pasta:eek:

My two beds are ikea, and no issues after 2+ years..

My bed is one of the more expensive bed frames, one of the more expensive mattresses and indeed mattress pads and its brilliant, I love it.

My spare room has the cheapest frame in there, one of the cheapest mattresses and the cheapest mattress pad and the bloke who rents it off me loves it :)

I bought two Ikea mattresses for our spare room before Christmas and I was surprised to find that they had an awfull smell. I was mortified that my guests had to sleep on them anyway, if I had known they needed so much airing I would have bought them long before I needed them!
