Small Passenger Jeep

    If I bought a small passenger jeep such as a 1999 suzuki for example which had back seats, could you qualify for commercial tax and ins if you blanked out/ took out the back seats/windows

    If it's previously Irish registered, you could convert it to meet DOE requirements but you'll be asked for for proof of need of commercial use when you come to re-register and tax it. Heaps of posts elsewhere about what you'll get asked for. If it's an import, don't bother.

    Insurance is a separate issue, you can do either, you can privately insure a commercial and vice versa assuming you can find a company that can get there heads (or PCs) round this.

    If it's an old basic Vitara or Jimny, it's probably not worth the hassle to save a bit on road tax.
