Keyboard wont work on laptop

Fujitsu Amilo M1425 came in with a non working keyboard and MS security virus. Did a back up and reformat using a usb keyboard. Took off the keyboard and checked the ribbon. Fujitsu Amilo M1425 came in with a non working keyboard and MS security virus. Did a back up and reformat using a usb keyboard. Took off the keyboard and checked the ribbon. I believe that the keyboard issue can sometimes be repaired by popping out the battery for a while. Problem is: I can't get the battery out!!! I have moved the slider over and pulled like a MOFO! What now?

Problem found. The guy i bought it off on adverts (Ringosepto) had the bloody battery glued to the laptop because the catches were broken! A lot of brute force broke the glue joints.
