Hi lads, just need help working something out. I just got a Brown Thomas loyalty card and am a bit confused with the scheme.
The gist I'm getting is that you have from May to January to collect points and then from February until April to spend them before they get wiped, does that sound right?
    Thanks :)

    Yeah I think that's right.

30th April is the last day for using them as far as I know.

I think I still have an email they sent me about this, I'll have a look for it and see what it says.

EDIT: Just checked, I don't have the email anymore, I must have deleted it! :(

Thanks! So any points I might collect this month will just get wiped on the 30th? I'm trying to work out if I'd be better off saving my money for the next twenty days :)

Yeah to my knowledge, that is how it works.

Bit silly really, you'd think they'd leave the points on the card to build up, rather than wipe them off :(

If you have a Boots card and Boots sell the product your after, the vouchers are coming out now, double points, 25% off etc. Better value than the BT card tbh. Theres one of the Boots vouchers for double points and it can be used twice :D

Use your BT points against make up. I bought a Nails Inc polish recently and was surprised to find I had 8e on my card so I took it off the price of the bottle. However, I normally buy make up in Boots as it's 4 points to the euro and often more. The BT card isn't good value at all.

Ah yeah, I've 30 quid on my boots card that I'm going to let build up until I've gotten rid of my quaterly vouchers, which I had to email them for! Boots stock most of what I need anyway, aside from MAC, Inglot and one or two others.

To be honest, I think the average BT shopper isn't as arsed with loyalty cards as the average boots shopper might be. And yeah, the scheme is a bit of a piss-take. I don't really like how they go up in three levels. It doesn't really seem fair and seems like they don't care about your custom if you aren't spending 5K a year. :/

Any 'new' points you collect on your card during the redemption period don't go onto your card til after the end of this month...as far as I know.

Yeah the points are a bit scabby but they have discount days for card holders and other perks too during the year....better than nothing I guess!

Discount days? I've not heard anything about them, do they email about 'em?

Yeah it's usually November/December I think. And you get invites to shop at sale prices before the sale starts in the summer too...well that was how it was last year!
