Alarm wont shut off on Passat

    2003 passat tdi that the alarm will not shut off on key and when i disconnect the battery leads its not as loud but still goes off every 2 minutes... how can i shut it off completely -started to annoy the neighbours and my eardrums are shot

    cut alarm horn wire . - that the cheapest way.

    Proper.. show your car to decent alarm fitter, diagnose and fix fault.

    didnt really want to cut anything yet as was hoping there was another way

    dont think so youll be able fix that yourself. need alarm fitter look in to that. Just guess (i have installed couple alarms, but i am not professional), you have decent alarm in to vw ... it have own battery (if it goin off when batery disconnected), just guess... there is problem with sensors - no/bad contact door , boot or bonnet (if fitted). need to check them, if any loose wire. If all that looks fine, deffo need alarm fitter to look in to that.

    give dave robinson a call 087 6343208 hes a mobile auto-elecy guy fits alarms and all that jazz he's mobile and will call to u.
    sure he'd be able to sort you!
