This really is last chance saloon for the Gunners. The best away record in the league meets the worst home record in the league. Surely a formality, I hear you say? Nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to this squad. Expect a cagey game to be separated by the odd goal.

Verdict: 2-1 Blackpool with 2 Charlie Adam penalties.

I agree with the last chance for us comment.

Wengers fire at the press conference means i want to see that from the players.

I'd take a 1-0 after a super Blackpool performance assuming all the players gave it all. Than a 5-0 where Cesc, RVP and Arsh all play fantastic but someone like Diaby coasts, gives us false hope.

After the poor run of form I'd be happy with any sort of win tbh, if not with any hope of catching Man U at least to keep 2nd out of Chelsea's reaches.

4 - 2 to Arsenal might be a good bet.

    .

If that fire was there from the start, Arsenal probably be ten points clear now

    Lehman is starting.

Yea, wonder what happened in the warm up to Almunia? Urgh I'm not overly optimistic looking at Eboue & Squillaci in defence and Lehmann in nets :(

Plus I think it's Diaby starting ahead of Ramsey in the midfield

Looking forward to seeing Lehmann today, maybe he's calmed down a little bit since we last seen him playing in England...

Jeez i hope he's up to it. Reports are that he was very poor in the reserve game against Wigan.

Have to say id rather have lehmann even at 41 in goal instead of almunia hes a shocking excuse for a keeper.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,719 ✭✭✭DB10

Lehmann is a better keeper than Almunia anyway.

Still I hope we dont lose because of Lehmann, dont want his reputation tarnished.

Time will tell, but I'd be happier with the more recent devil I know.

Only at Arsenal would the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice keepers be out injured at the same time

    lol

Is this a Charlie Adam interview or a documentary on the Blackpool seaside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 595 ✭✭✭Souless

Knee injury for Almunia in the warm up, he's still on the bench as we apparently didn't bring another keeper with us.

    Cmon Arsenal!!!!

No sub keeper for Arsenal. Here's hoping Mad Jens does something crazy :D

    Almunia's on the bench....

    edit: Maybe not.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,719 ✭✭✭DB10

Nah I think Almunia is on the bench

Arsenal will murder them I'm afraid. Blackpool are in real trouble and for all their nice football they give other teams far too much space to do as they please. Arsenal are probably the worst team they could face really, bearing that in mind.

    I'll go 1-5.

YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO PROTECT PENSIONERS IN DE BOX..RIGHT?

    :D

Nope he's not allowed according to Lee Mason.

For some reason I could see Eboue stepping into goal if need be. He has that streak of madness about him that a keeper needs.:pac:

Cracking atmoshpere there and Pool have started really positively

    Good early pressure here.

Is there anything this man will tolerate? He seems to not like goalies or happiness on the evidence of his last two games.:pac:

I'd go for Bendtner - he'd certainly have the confidence.

Wow no back up keeper. Would be typical Arsenal if Lehmann gets injured now!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

Lehmann will have a great game today. He won't cost Arsenal any goals and wont have much to do. He will be fine once Arsenal settle.

All Arsenal. Time for Cesc to get the finger out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

My 'Efan Ekoku calls Blackpool 'Blackburn' count' already stands at 5 after 8 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Poor touch there by VP which is unlike him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 595 ✭✭✭Souless

How did he not score then?!

I thought it was OK, the pitch was to blame there imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Shocking from RVP alright. Should be goals here - Arsenal ain't convincing at the back.

This is a very good start by Pool and should have had peno there aswell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

    1-0 Diaby

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Very soft goal to concede. Where was the tracking

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

That's some awful defending right there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Good man Diaby - started and finished the move

Arsenal would get 20 more of those goals a season if those gobshítes on the pitch would actually make a run like Diaby did there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

That was brilliant from Diaby - why can't he do that consistantly?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

    EBOUEEEEEEEEEEE!!

    Magic!! :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭ollie1

    2-0 :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

Surprise, ****ing surprise. I can see this being at least 4-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,501 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    What a strike by Eboue!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Great run and finish by Eboue.
Game over now but might have been different if peno had been given for challenge on Taylor-Flethcher.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

This game is over, no chance of Blackpool getting anything out of this now.

I agree, it is dead and buried, Blackpool might as well go home.
