As in the title, what do you all think of the M-Class?

I'm looking at an 02 270CDI Auto, with 90k miles. Going to view on tuesday.

What would be a good price for an average condition model from a dealer? Also, any known issues etc?

    Thanks

There was a thread about these a long time back I think. Pre 2005 models were badly nailed together by rednecks in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, you're not getting German build quality. The post 05 model is supposed to be far better.

Some background info here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_M-Class

Total dirt box. I wouldn't touch one with yours. There are too many known issues to list and the interior is truly nasty and cheap. Mercedes should buy back all of these so as to enable themselves to deny they ever existed. Utter ****e hailing from Merc's darkest days of "rationalisation".

Ah go on, tell us what you really think of them! :D :P

    Thanks for the input.

Does anyone have a suggested price for the model/age/year I mentioned in the OP?
