Register of Electors - Question

I received an (unsolicited) Register of Electors form from Dublin City Council, which incredibly has no email address or phone number listed for queries.

My instinct tells me that as I have been on the Register for years and haven't moved house that I don't need to take any action and can simply bin the form. However, I note that it says:

"To ensure that you...will be registered, complete and return this form immediately"

So, just to be on the safe side, should I fill it in and return it or can I simply throw the form in the bin in the knowledge that those already on the register will remain on the register?

    Thanking you in advance.

Check if you are registered already (but the last election should have been an indication for you):

Yes kbannon, I know I was on the register for the last election, my query has to do with do I need to "renew" my place on it or will I remain on it after the new register is released on February 15 2012 if I don't return the form.

No renewal, but people somehow randomly get removed. So just check the site and ensure your still there, or when it comes close to another vote you can check again. Iv been on it years but I always double check anyway.

Didn't think they would be sending out forms after an election, and I always thought they did it door-to-door. *shrrugs*
