Changing jobs

    Hi Guys

I currently work as an allied healthcare professional in the hse on a locum contract which ends in may. I really enjoy working in the hospital but management still don't know if the locum will be extended or for how long. I've recently been offered a permanent role in a private hospital which I'm tempted to accept especially the way things are currently. They are willing to let me finish my locum contract first before starting this role. The only problem is that I have other permanent job interviews coming up in the next month or so which I would probably prefer if I was successful. They want an answer early next week about this job. Could I possibly accept this job and still do other interviews. Id hate to reject it and be unemployed in less than two months time. Thanks for any advice on the matter. This is my first job and I don't really have much experience regarding changing jobs. Thanks.

Of course you should still go for interviews! A full time position is hard to come by these days and you should of course go for it and accept it. Besides if you didnt take the current position offered and didnt get the full time jobs you would be in trouble!

Anyway you might find that you will enjoy the job and see that further interviews aren't needed. Take the job and dont close the books on further positions. I think in the current climate, lots of people are chopping and changing to ensure the best for them
