Redudancy... Please Advice

    Hello, Hope sombody can advice me of my situation. My COMPANY X hired me 6 Years ago as a Permanant Employee to work for a Company Y for Company 'Y's in a Support position. Recently Company Y adviced company X that they do not need the Support services as their head office in France took over the Job and they will recruit a person in a bit different position. Hence Company X has to make me redundant and had two consultancy meetings. In Jan, The France Head office rang me for an Interview call, and out of 7 people i got selected to provide services with additional jobs included. But they are not offering me a perm Job but a Contract. which is for 100 days and extended so if services are good. Soi set up my own compna to provide the services.
    Now the company X will not give me redundacy pay, they say i have a job and TUPE is done when they know that iam doing contracting.
    Can you please advice me if i can go and have a legal battle for my Redundancy pay. Coz Company X is multi national company and iam a comman man.....Thanks ofr your advice...
