Inter-railling alone?

Hey guys, Just wondering has anyone any experience of going inter-railling alone? Is it something that you could enjoy? Most of my friends are in college and aren't working or are working to pay rent and therefore are broke and have no hope of going on holiday! I'm an apprentice aircraft mechanic so have a bit of money…

Hey guys, Just wondering has anyone any experience of going inter-railling alone? Is it something that you could enjoy?
Most of my friends are in college and aren't working or are working to pay rent and therefore are broke and have no hope of going on holiday!
I'm an apprentice aircraft mechanic so have a bit of money coming in and I work weekends also. It looks like I'll be going away on my own or else won't be going anywhere outside Ireland, as much as I love the place, I really want to get out and experience the rest of Europe!!

Any ideas? Anyone here in the same situation and looking for a travel partner?

There's trillions of threads here about this same subject. I've gone on a couple of trips by myself, inter-railing being the first one, and I've never looked back. You'll never meet as many people when you're with friends than when you're alone, and you also have the selfishness of doing whatever the hell you want and going where you want. Try it, it might be the makings of you.

I eneded up on my own unplanned 2 years ago and had the time of my life! I will only travel solo from now on did SA ASIA last year south america this year:)

Paris was good for meeting people in hostels, greek islands were mad and gorgeous! italy was beautiful some lovely hostels around for meeting people i met people on the street in venice!
