Looking for a recommendation for a FTA HD receiver. This is to replace the existing box (old sly box)

I was thinking of just buying a sly HD receiver from ebay. It’s for use in the 2nd bedroom

Does anyone have something better in mind for about €100-€120?

It does not need to have PVR

    Cheers

Buy a freesat HD or Sky HD box if its just the freesat channels on 28E you're after, otherwise you'll be tortured retuning channels on a FTA box when the broadcasters change frequencies. My own preference would be for a Sky HD box as you'll have Sky News and other channels on the EPG which are'nt available on the Freesat EPG. You'll also be able to access the Sky interactive service on it.
As a little bonus you can add the channels 5*, 5USA, Viva, 5HD, LFC TV, Pick TV and Sony TV by purchasing a Sky FTV card for £20.

BTW you'll get either for around the money you're talking about and possibly a good bit cheaper if you search around on ebay.

Forget about the Sky Solus card. The Five channels will be FTA sometime this year.

    Technisat Freesat HD.

It's come down in price and you can record to a USB stick or external hard drive.

    Now £99.00 on Amazon.

Post reported and I would avoid Strong anyway. The Technisat Freesat boxes really are the best ones on the Market.
