    any one know why hens may eat their own eggs??

    they have found out that eggs taste good. You will need to break them of the habit.
    The Old method is to isolate the culprit so she cant break the other hens eggs. Then carefully blow out an egg so it empty then to fill it with mustard rinse and repeat for a few morning. The old biddy will some be convinced that all eggs yield burning nasty not yum yum

    the usual reason is thirst, i have proven this to my own satisfaction many times.
