Quick query on the census?

I live in student accomodation and I answered the door when the census worker called. I said that I'd be there, as I was fairly positive that I would be there. The person marked me down as Person 1 or something. But as it turns out I wont be there on Sunday as I have to go home tomorow. My housemate will be there though. Should I just sign it and tell my housemate to hand it to the census worker or should I be filled in at home?

Census guy was supposed to mark nothing but the front of the form with the D number of your accommodation... eejit...

You should be filled out at home if you're there til Monday morning.

But you will have to have some details noted on where you were on the other census form anyway.

Folks, if I'm filling in the census, it's supposed to be anonymous right, so can I put my name and business as NA or Mr. Anonymous? If it's simply for statistical data then I can't see why my name and workplace name are relevant.
