I am 29 have 3 siblings (ages: 16, 21, 32) and my parents who have been together for 30 + years have decided to finally get married! The wedding is a civil ceremony next week with 12 people attending! I would really like to give them a short but sweet speech as I believe no one else will probably think of it (LOL:D) the trouble is speeches are not my strong point!

I would love to hear any suggestions anyone may have to help me or if someone has been in a similar situation may have any advice!

(n.b: I would be known as the witty one of the family and am not married myself yet so would like to mention that in the speech :)

    Thanks :) :):):)

Aww thats brilliant news, my parents got married when I was 26, haha although it was 2 weeks apart to different people lol but still it was special.

Although not for the weddings, but for 50ths, I wrote each a limerick style poem with 5 or 6 verses. I did find it hard BUT with each paragraph I decided on the first line and what I wanted to say and then just used a thesarus type thing I found on google which gave me loads of rhyming options so I still had it done in a few attempts each time.

A lot of best men employ the use of slide show's to enhance their speeches. This can work really well with funny pictures from the past.

I'm guessing that you would have access to tones of pictures over the years. You could make this both emotional and funny.

Good luck ...its sound like ye are going to have a day to remember
