    Hi all,

I have an upcoming competency based interview for a graduate consultant engineering position. Any tips? I assume I should show example from College, Work placements, sport etc?

    Cheers

Find out what the competencies are and see how they relate to you.

Engineers Ireland have 5 competencies for a chartered engineer. That could be starting point

Thanks for the replies. I have prepared a list of possible questions and answers and have booked an interview preparation session for Monday morning so hopefully it all pays off.

I ran these interviews for a MN for a few years...
The big thing we looked for was background to any situation you may cite. If a candidate mentions a scenario but then falters on the details when questioned, it was indicated that perhaps the scenario was less than it was made out...

The theory is that if you lived through a scenario you will be well versed on the details involved..
