    First off, it has gotten over half a billion views. Secondly, it has gotten 606,154 likes, and 1,224,887 dislikes.

    This is some crazy stuff.

    The majority are dribbling idiots. Idiots are easy to influence. Why do you think Mcdonalds place "contents may be hot" on coffee cups? Take a look at some masterpieces by bands such as Kraftwerk. True pioneers, yet most of their videos have really silly numbers.

    Thats because its a legal safe guard or else people could sue over trivial things such as it not saying it as hot.

    I am all for differing tastes in music. I just can't take the likes of bieber and other talentless hacks seriously. The music industry has gone to hell these days. Thank **** for underground/old stuff. Lars Ulrich needs another limo ffs!

    It's just the youth of today. Have you ever wondered how Jedward are so popular among young people. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge them their day in the sun, they have something in the lines of Ant & Dec but I've seen girls bawling their eyes out over them.

    There is some truth to this. Besides, crap music has always existed in some shape or form. Yes, even in the golden years. It's more a case of lack of effort being expended by the industry today, despite the introduction of draconian DRM schemes.

    It's the fashionable bandwagon for haters.

    The majority of the comments are attempts to be witty and are whatever nasty comment they can I think of.
    And then drag it into every other video, even sports videos

    95 people love Bieber

    If I don't like a song I don't go out of my way to post multiple comments and listen and watch it on the internet. Best to ignore

    Hmm...I won't begrudge Justin Bieber his success. I think he's worked hard for it. And he's obviously doing something right to have all those millions of young teen girls drooling over him.

    His name being mentioned everywhere, and every other singing being compared to him is quite annoying.
    But the most annoying thing? Well, whenever I think "How can his songs be so popular?", I can't help having the followup thought of "OMG, maybe I'm just too old to get it".
