Shall we try that again? :) (quite why a mod has to chop down a thread that merely needs pruning is another matter)

I was watching Benfica v PSV on Channel 5. A cracking game ended 4-1 to the home side, frankly it could just have easily have been 6-0 the away keeper earned his wage tonight under near constant pressure at times. They really are great at home but even a 3 goal advantage might not stop them crumbling in the second leg, that said the Dutch didn't look too clever in attack.

    FC Porto 5 – 1 Spartak Moscow

    Benfica 4 – 1 PSV Eindhoven

    Villarreal 5 – 1 FC Twente

    Dynamo Kyiv 1 – 1 Sporting Braga

Only one tie truly still alive, so much for games being tough and tight at this end of a tournament.

Well 3 teams found it very tough ;)

Looks like no Dutch supporters will visit Dublin in May.

Well you can get 200/1 for Twente, or 66/1 on PSV, to win the whole thing now if you want to throw down a euro!

Is there a possible Benfica - Porto final? Or have the semi final draws been made?

Looking more likely now that Sligo Rovers will start in the 3rd Q round next season and not the 2nd after tonight's results :D

How did Berg play? Poor as usual?

    They have; its;

    Dynamo Kyiv/Braga vs Benfica/PSV Eindhoven
    Porto/Spartak Moscow vs Villarreal/Twente

Porto-Benfica final certainly on the cards alright!

I'd love if Beeyareal won it tbh, Spanish teams have tended to do well in this tournament recently.

Benfica were playing such a high line he only got the odd chance to take the ball and attack the area, his first touch blew his chances a couple of times. While he (and others) didn't make the most of a few very decent cross into the danger zone from the left.

When it started, I said Porto would win it.

    Come on Porto!

Boas is doing some job at Porto, champions and unbeaten in Portugal already and looking like strong contenders for the EL as well.

As for games being one sided in the EL, the CL was no different either.

The Guardian Podcast has a feature on Vilas Boas today.

Wow what goalfests! 3 out of 4 ties are over in both the CL and Europa League after only the first leg.

Watched a bit of the Porto game. First time I'd seen them under Villas Boas. They were lethal, though Spartak also looked very poor.

I see Porto winning this, may even head to the Final if they get their and if I can secure a ticket which may be easier since their are no English teams left in it

I can't look beyond Porto for winning it.

The Dutch teams looked horrible, completely taken apart by their opponents.
