    very interesting!

it's been long documented that there are example of gay and transgender people dating back centuries in many different cultures around the world, now this is probably the earliest example.

I've actually witnessed the same situation with some of the burials excavations in the past, usually these have maybe one or two changes, say with position or in most cases burial goods. It would be interesting if someone did a study on this, alas iv already chose my research.
The only one i can remember from ireland that i briefly looked at was at the edmoundstown bronze age burial Co. Dublin, but not much is mentioned about it. Probably because it was excavated in 1993.

Isn't it great that these people actually sat down somewhere and had a discussion on what special way this person should be honoured in their burial.
For some things, I sometimes think we've gone backwards instead of forwards.

The only thing i would say to you all is .... I dont think the proper analyses has been done to determine the actual sex of the person, it isnt unlikely to fine a female skeleton with high male metric ratios. I believe as of yet sex has only been determined via metrics, but if a serious case is made proper analyses may be carried out to get a better insight into the person.
