is my 3gs banjaxed?

    hi all
    i went to charge my 3gs(1 yr old) last night and plugged it in as usual it buzzed and started to charge as normal,when i went back later the phone was off and it wont power back on or take a charge from the socket or car, is it fooked?

    I doubt it. Hold the Home and Power button together for 10 seconds and it should reboot.

    no naasrd...just connected it now and its not showing up at all...

    You need to hold the home nd power button for a good minute , release the power button whilst still holding the home that will sort

    I seen that with an iPhone 4 and a 3G today same symptoms as urs nd holdingbthem buttons down worked perfect

    Open up iTunes and plug the handset into the pc. Do the reboot then and give it a min to see if it registers in the pc. If it does then just do a restore and hopefully it will be better

    nothing has worked so far...tried all suggestions...not even registering on i tunes

    Does it show up in iTunes in recovery mode?
    How to put your iPhone in recovery mode :

    Turn the device completely off and disconnect it from cable/dock.
    Hold down the home button.
    While holding down the home button connect to a computer with a cable (easiest) or dock.
    Keep holding down the home button until you see a connect-to-itunes screen You are now in recovery mode.

    only thing you can do is open it up and have a look at it.

    I would check the connector marked 4, see if it hasn't come loose.

    open itunes and connect the sync cable and hold the home button until it turns on

    if its under warrenty send it back to apple, it took them 3 days to replace mine, but i got a brand new one back.

    warranty is a year but if ya cant turn it on to get the serial number i dunno what ya can do

    Serial number is also printed on sim-card tray AFAIK..
