Any ideas how to the two seal solar pipes for airtightness where they stick through my osb airtight layer?

    I'm thinking of fire foam?

    Tks

Have you spoken to "our friends in Meath" . Their AT system includes accessories such as grommets.

Well, also, if your cutting through 2 circular even holes, there is tape provided by most of the supplier to seal up such openings. Its different grade to say the window tape and there is a method of applying it. The foam also might work, I know for example when they sealed up the duct for wiring between attic and down stairs, they used a foam to seal the end. you woudnt believe the draught that was going up and down that duct before they did it.

Thanks for the replies, solar pipes are in so grommets aren't an option, and I'd guess tape won't take the heat long term or probably grommets either according to a pm from another poster.

So I'm going to box in the pipe with osb for 6 inches or so inside where it breaks the osb airtight layer, cable tie the pipe insulation to the pipe inside this osb box so no leaks between foam pipe insulation and solar pipe, then foam around the outside of the pipe insulation inside the osb box.
