    hi gents,

skidded with my 00 vvti green corolla at 5mph during the frost at christmas and cracked my frount bumper in LH corner and dented and pushed back the wing so that passenger door and itself are rubbing when the door is opened.

my guess is the probability of straightening it out correctly isn't great and either way I will need to ge my mechanic to do some painting

on the hunt for a green wing and bumper not having much look have lots of scrapyards rang, all damaged in frount anyone know where a green one is avalable?

a new wing from micks garage is 59.50 and a new bumper from micks garage is 139.5
    see here http://www.micksgarage.ie/carspec.aspx?&deptid=99&make=Toyota&model=Corolla 2000-2002&basemodel=&year=&engine=&petroldiesel=&mode=drilldown

my guess is even if I find a scrapped one in a different colour prices will be roughly the same

must hunt up a few more prices where else is there to look for this stuff toyota dealer?

whats the procedure for painting new stuff primer, paint and lacquer?

a days work for a mechanic/panel beater between painting and fitting I would guess should sort it out?

how much should primers paint and laquer roughly cost to do a wing and bumper, i'm aware paint and so on isn't cheap

The painting procedure is quite difficult to do properly yourself, you need a very sterile environment to paint in so that no dirt gets on the paint and destroys the finish. I'd say a main dealer to source the bumper and wing as original parts would be prohibitively expensive. If it was me I would get the parts from the likes of Micks Garage and then bring them along to someone to respray them the correct colour and then I would fit them myself, that would likely be the cheapest option.
