Does matt paint change colour over time?

    HI,
    I haven't retouched the walls on the landing in over 3 years and sections have got grubby. I still have almost a tin of the of the original Crown paint. I don't want to start dabbing around in case I end up with polka dotted walls.
    Will the colour on the wall have faded, do you think ? I reckon the colour in the tin will have stayed true. Thanks

    yes there's a very good chance if the wall is grubby
