    I just want to ask when people normally get their period when on the pill. I started yasminelle on the 14th of march and so finished the pack last Sunday. I still haven't gotten my period and am worried...hopefully unnecessarily but I can't help it. I was on yasminelle before several months ago and seem to remember getting my period right after finishing the pack but I'm not completely sure on that.

    I'm on microlite but I can get my period at any of the first 5 days of my break week. Also the fact that you've just started means your body's still settling into it. If you have concerns, see your GP, even if it's just to put your mind at ease. If you can't afford/don't have time to see your GP, give it till the end of your break week and then go about seeing someone. In fact, you sent that at 4.20 last night, so you might even have it by now! I really wouldn't worry until your break week is over.

    I'm on Yasminelle. I usually get my period on my 5th pill free day.
    If I were you I wouldn't worry sometimes it can take a while for your periods to regulate. I remember not getting them untill the day before I was due to go back on the pill so there is definitely no need to worry.

    Its not strictly speaking a period, but a withdrawl bleed.

    I used to get mine when it was near the end of my 7 day break - usually by about day 5 or so. Some months it used to be the day before I went back on the new pack.

    Like others have said, it can take a bit of time for your cycle to settle down, but if you are in doubt, do a test before you start your next pack.

    Thanks for the replies - they really helped. I finally got it this morning and was so relieved. Put myself through torture for the last few days though!

    I wouldn't worry much in the future either, as long as you take your pill regularly when you're scheduled to, you should be covered. Mine always takes 3 days to kick in.

    I know with my pill it takes a few days for my period to come. Try not to worry about it, your body is probably just adjusting. :)
