Do you have a dark side?

Do you ever have times when that little devil is sitting on your shoulder encouraging you to make the 'evil' choice, and you have to dismiss the idea and 'do the right thing'?

And do you ever indulge in fantasies/daydreams where you explore this darkside? I.E, do you ever fantasise about what it would be like to be a serial killer, a thief, an evil dictator etc?

I get the impression that most people would be afraid to indulge their dark side, even in fantasy, as it reveals a part of them that they don't like to admit exists.

So AH...how evil are you?

Anyway, yeah. It's kind of odd to say (write) it but I think I have a dark side. I still fantasize about torturing kids I went to school with for bullying me etc. Not that I was a saint, I did my share of bullying too.

I'll try to find the link but there was a good article in Expand Your Horizons about what kind of bastard animals humans can be when societal restraints are removed or suppressed.

God yeah, I have that evil devil sitting on my shoulder:D. Was having a pedicure at the weekend, and the girl's face was inches from my feet. All I could think was how I would love to kick her full force in the face, just to see what kind of reaction I'd get. Thankfully, my good side prevailed. I often have evil fantasies about harming people. I actually had a voodoo doll once, that I used to stick pins in on especially evil days.

Yeah at times i get the urge to do some stupid shít like push someone over a bridge they're leaning against when walking by or just punch someone. The urge gets so strong that i actually have to stop and tell myself to cop on.

As for fantasies yeh sure winning the lotto, maybe telling the boss to F off, or at most hitting someone who annoyed yeh that day but murder eh noooo im not a pyscho:)

There are many many examples of this to be found and as history has shown time and time again , it's in times of war that men , soldiers on all sides , become capable of the most horrendous of things .

1. I didn't say that they are my personal fantasies .

2. Yes, I am an a weird dude, and quite comfortable with that fact.

3. My fantasies can be much much darker than being a serial killer, thief or dictator. So long as I'm sane enough to tell the difference between fantasy and reality, I think it's quite healthy. I see it as a way of harmlessly dealing with negative emotions and relieving stress.
