    Hi,
Couple of posts around on this. Looks like the ECU needs to be replaced and is an expensive fix. Question is - car has <40,000 miles on the clock (2005). In a lot of the UK forums owners have had the repair part funded by Audi as this was a design issue with the Multitronic system.
Has anybody gotten a contribution from Audi Ireland for the repair? If so what %?
    Cheers
    Mike

...can't say about an '05, but I know someone with an 09 A6, and the multitronic gearbox has to be changed, with only 44k kms on it.

    Very poor form, really.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

So guys, yes I can use Google ;) I know this requires an expensive job. The question is, given the history of these transmissions and that Audi UK have offered part payment on repairs, does anyone know if Audi Ireland has offered the same?
I'm querying it with the garage (Audi approved garage) but would be useful to know if anyone is in the same prediciment.

To be in with a shot on a 6 year old car you'd probably need a full serivce history with a main dealer and everything done as per the Audi service schedule I'd imagine.
