    Morning all,

I'm sure this has been posted before but I'm trying to get some up-to-date info. My other half is in to the photography - she bought a digital Canon (apparently a good one - looks complicated to me) and loves it. I wanted to buy her a place on an evening course in Dublin but am not sure which one is the best. The most important thing for her is a) being shown the best way to use her camera and b) some kind of field trip/on site training. The nearest I have found so far is this http://www.iop.ie/courses/beginners.htm

Any feedback anyone could offer me? Her 30th is coming up and I wanted to get her something she'd use. She loves gig photography if that helps!

    Much appreciated,

    Sparks

IOP run brilliant courses, and are great way to learn the basics.

Other than that, get out shooting, and keep an eye on the boards excursions, which are a great way to learn too.

The IOP was a great help to me, lots of different courses available and very well run. They also have some free days too
