Habit Rouge. Old school manly man cologne. The Tom Ford ones are nice too but megabucks.

    Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme
Most of this years scents are (again) citrus based and floral. Older styles of spicy or sandlewood are rare to find. The Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme is probably the firthest from the pack scent wise and thats why I like it. It dosen't carry too much of the cirtus notes and gives off a 'marine fresh' (as the reviews say) impression. I've tried a test of this and quite liked it but I've not given it a proper road test yet. Works well in the daytime but not too sure how it will work on a night out with a brandy and cigar yet, it's probably a bit too fresh.

You need to try before you buy, what make work on someones skin may not work on yours.
My advise would be to go for something different from your boots generic smells.
Geo F Trumper, Truefitt and Hill, Floris make some really nice ones and all sell sample packs, sometimes if you write a nice email they will send some for free.

These would be the top sellers for men: Armani Code, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paco Rabanne One million, Chanel Bleu (Amazing), Armani Diamonds, Boss Bottled. These are all nice but its always great to go out and get one thats a bit different to the ones everyone else is wearing

Creed have some nice ones, check out Cool Water and Irish Tweed. Clive Christians No. 1 for men is nice, albeit a little expensive. Acca Kappa's White Moss is very refreshing.

+1. Try 'em for size and don't think for one instant that the best selling scents is actually the best scent for you.

All my friends love the smell of a man in joop!

Personally, my boyfriend's gets me weak at the knees, Polo Sport by Raulph Lauren. Which is probably a million years old now but oh wow :D

The fact that it was best seling would put me off, who wants to smell like everyone else.

If you have a few quid spare, get yourself some Antidote by Viktor & Rolf.

+1 for Tom Ford smells, but yeah, they are expensive. Worth it to stand out a little though.

Definitely try lots on, and leave them sit on your skin for a while. They develop over time and what smells nice when you spray it on can smell like cat pee 2 hours later.
