Is there any way to look up the sentencing results of trials in the Central Criminal Court? Basically, there was a trial today which I need to find out the sentencing information for. I've only been able to find out the information on when the trial was held from the courts.ie website, but can't find anything on the actual results.

Sorry if I'm missing the obvious but I can't find any records on that site other than ones from 2010 and older...I understand it might take a while to update for the most recent trials though.

Sorry, I thought it was pretty up to date, maybe it's not.

Keep an eye on the judgements section of www.courts.ie. It might pop up there if it's a big case or else keep an eye on the papers tomorrow (if sentencing was today). Irish Times is usually pretty good for Court reporting.

Unless the accused is convicted of murder, which attracts a mandatory sentence, the case may well be be put back for sentencing.
