Just wondering when i look at my facebook account security, it keeps coming up that the site has been looked at in Dublin. I live in Galway, I kept pressing end activity but a few days later it would come up again that my page is been accessed in Dublin aswel as the time I access it in Galway. I changed my password to something random a few weeks ago and it stopped. Yesterday though, it started again...Dublin appeared twice . Im hoping that everyone experiences this and that im not been hacked...what the frig is going on?

FB would base this information on your IP address.

    It;s possible that ...

... in work your online cativity goes through a company server in Dublin

... Your ISP is listed as being in Dublin.

... the wi-fi location that you are using was once upon a time in Dublin

It's not a precise science of how any services work out your location.

If you are finding that the Dublin activity is happening the same time as what you are doing are doing then it is probably one of the above.

Do you get a pop up message when you get the alert or did you go looking for the info?

Same thing happens for me! On Facebook it says I live in Dublin and on other sites I'm meant to be in Galway. I was told it has something to do with the IP address.
