Watching the Masters

Unfortunately for me, BBC have lost their coverage of the Masters on Thursday and Friday and I'm desperate to find a way to watch it for those two days. Does anybody know any ways I can watch it? I would watch it online but my internet connection is not great and if I watch normal golf coverage on it it tends to stutter a few times. I do have a sky box but I dont have Sky Sports, I'm wondering is it possible to get Sky Sports for this week or even just Masters coverage? Thanks!

Seeing as Sky is your only option, would you not be better off phoning Sky than asking randomers for 'advice'?

No. It used to be possible to get Sky Sports for a month but I don't know if that still applies. Call Sky.

More importantly why aren't BBC showing full coverage, the Masters was always a delight as BBC had great coverage and even RTE used to at least have Sat and Sun coverage. Now it's just a Sky oligopoly
Setanta are showing all four days of coverage but don't think this is available on a basic Corus subscription either. Takes alot of the enjoyment of the Masters out of it when you've to jump through rings and pay through the nose just to watch it.

Looking at the UPC TV-guide online and it seems that Setanta Ireland will be showing the masters live from 8pm each day (7pm on Sunday).
Most UPC customers get Setanta Ireland as part of their package so its a decent alternative. No sure if they will have their own commentators or will they just use the main American stream (CBS??).

I think it is possible to get Setanta for €8.95 for one month only.

As for Sky, you could add the sports package and once the weekend is over just cancel it, they will only charge you for usage.

Will BBC or Sky be showing the Amen coverage?

I remember BBC showing it last year.

Something nice to watch will waiting on main coverage to start

If you have an iphone or iPad you can get sky sports for about €5 a month. Its fantastic on the iPad and its on a month by month basis. I cancelled sky sports subscription on the basis of this and dont miss it at all on the tv.

Sounds great Myksyk but I am only using one of those Vodafone Dongles so my internet is shocking. I heard of them introducing something whereby you can transmit videos straight to your TV from your ipad/iphone, if this comes in I would suggest that lots of people would just cancel the sports package and use their smart devices instead.

I think i heard somewhere that Sky will have coverage of Amen Corner, the 15th hole (i think) and two featured groups on the red button.
Don't know if that will start before the main coverage or what.

Anyone know if Shot Tracker will be available for the Masters? I assume not as it hasn't been previously but I would love if they did have it. Its handy for following the Irish lads progress when they might not be getting much airtime (except when it spazs out slightly ala Harrington's 18th last night!)

I doubt it, don't think there is Shot Tracker for any of the Majors.

or alternatively if you know anyone who has sky sports, you can login their account via the skyplayer online and watch the coverage from there...thats what I do :D

My in-laws have all the Sky channels but wouldn't be very tech savvy so I set their online account up (with their approval of course) and can login whenever I want! Its perfect, it can go full screen and the quality is really good...this would depend on your internet setup though

    Simples

    Simples

Only downside is that if a few people use it you are knackered
