Does anyone know what facial cleansers / washes / toners etc are good for someone with oily skin., particularly my forehead and t zone.

Blackheads and trapped deep pores are a problem too.

    Cheers!

    I'd highly recommend La Roche-Posay :

The Effaclar range is what you'd wanna look for, it's on the website. I should probably let you know I use acne treatment as well, but I think this does do a lot of the work. I use the Purifying Foaming Gel, but from what I've heard from other people too, it's a really good range in general. You don't need to use much of it either, so at around 13 quid a bottle it's great value since it lasts ages. It's in most pharmacies, but it can be a bit hard to spot on the shelf sometimes, and Boots on Grafton street definitely sells it.

Edit: Also for blackheads it's a good idea to use an exfoliating wash about once a week, I've used Garnier's facial wash (I think it was Pure Active) before and thought it was quite good, but can't use it anymore because of my acne treatment. Maybe try that too.

May I ask what acne treatment you're using? My daughter is using Duac and her skin was drying out so much. We couldn't find a moisturiser to suit, anyhow through a lot of trial and error I came across Effaclar. Can't believe how good it is, for a cleanser she uses Cetaphil which is also excellent. La Roche Posay is a fantastic range and not too pricey, a little goes a long way.

It's called Zineryt. I think there's more than one form of it, I use the solvent+powder type. It comes in a bottle with a pad on the top and I just rub in on my face after washing with the Effaclar, before I go to bed. It's directed for use twice a day but I had pretty bad acne and just doing it before bed has completely cleared things up, so I think the twice a day thing is pretty useless. My doctor said using it twice a day would only serve to dry out my skin (and my skin is extremely sensitive as well as prone to acne). I get very mild patches of dryness occasionally, around my mouth and on my nose. I usually get away with just using Nivea Kids factor 30 sun cream, or if it needs a bit more, I'll use Nivea oil free moisturiser instead. The sun cream doesn't do any damage as long as I'm careful with how I apply it and how often, but the moisturiser can sometimes cause a few little spots, which I don't mind as I don't use it that often. I've tried expensive/highly recommended moisturisers but to be honest I've never found anything to be perfect.
