Are these people really good citizens of Ireland or simply misguided ?
Do they give a shyte about their fellow Irish ?
    I don't get it.
They insist on electing Lowry eevry time.
    It insults me.
    What do you think ?

hey you know not everyone in north tipp votes for that fraud!!!

I suspect most people in North Tipperary didnt vote for Lowry in fairness.

One of the features of the PR-STV system (although it applies to most other electoral systems too) is that it is possible to "top the poll" with 30% or less of first preference votes.

Its actually pretty rare for a candidate to get 50% or more of the vote in any constirtuency

Its amazing how few people out there actually realise this.

They're just simple muck savages not fit to lace the boots of us enlightened Dubliners:rolleyes:. Or at least that's what I read on boards.

The fact of the matter is that women blink twice as often as men.

You could say the same about the people who elected Healy Rae, The Flynns in the West, Bertie Ahern, Gerry Adams, Charlie Haughey martin Ferris etc.

irish people vote in people who do them favours. They don't care if they are dodgy or a bit of a rogue!!

TBH only 29.2% voted for him which is 14104 people. Hardly the whole constituency.

What makes it even sadder is that this in the majority of instances this not actually the case.

Do you honestly believe that Michael Lowry has done favours for every one of the 14104 people. who voted for them ? Sounds like he would have been kept pretty busy if he did.

What about the Dubliners who voted for Burke, Aherne, Haughey, Lowry etc?

"I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" is not a North Tipperary or Dublin or even Irish thing.

I can't understand how anyone of that possible questionable calibre can be re-voted in but then other dodgy fork elsewhere were re-elected also - Lowry sadly is not the first and won't be the last.
