    Hi, I'm having a problem with my hot water pump. Basically ive had two, the first one burnt out and had to be replaced it cost €400 fitted and installed. I think the new one is going the same way, I'm pretty sure it's done to over heating then when it cools down it works again. We only use it for two showers a day and to do the dishes so it's not being over worked. Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Or any advice thanks.

    Yes pumps overheat they have a rating on the side of the pump.

    eg 25 mins on 30 mins off...

    Water might be too hot for your pump. Some only have a rating up to 55 degrees,and if water is hotter the plastic impellers warp out of shape.

    How can you check what the pump is rated? It's becoming very expensive. It's happening much mire frequently in the last while. Can anyone give me a guide price on what it'd be to fit and supply a pump? Thanks for the replies.

    Should be a stamp on the side of the pump gives all the info

    You need to tell us more detail.

    For example, You live in a house or apartment.

    The size of the pump.

    Photograph of the hotpress where the pump is connected to the hot water etc.

    As much details as possible.;
