Need expert advice - wine making

So - my kit to make 23 litres of wine arrived yesterday, and lovely it is too. Trouble is, the instructions are in Swedish, which I don't speak. Now, I can work out what to do with most of the ingredients (yeast and nutrients, stabiliser, finings) but am slightly unsure about the included oak chips (10g of them). Looking at the instructions, they seem to be mentioned at the same time as the yeast - so my guess is that I add them right at the beginning?

Can any kind and knowledgeable help me out here before I make a mess of it all?

    Thanks!

I'm a kit wine virgin, but have done some fumbling in the box and found the instructions of mine. It says if there's oak, add it at the beginning. So, not speaking from a point of actual knowledge, I'd say put the oak in early.

Thanks for that - I think you're right because I spent some time yesterday typing part of the instructions into an online translator, and that's what it seemed to say - so I took the plunge and added it. I'm good for 3 weeks now, but then I'll have to translate more instructions about stabilising and fining - or learn Swedish in the interim :)
