Am I just being over-sensitive, or was the general theme of the song something along the lines of traditional England and the English being under attack culturally and physically by pernicious foreign influences (references to Canary Wharf, 7/7, Curry houses replacing fish 'n'chips, etc...)?
One way or the other, I don't like this song...each to their own though...

Yup, sounds like that alright...I have nothing against a person being proud of being English, but defensive, paranoid nationalism is sad and harmful in equal measure...not that it's non-existent over here btw...

They were on Must be the Music on Sky 1 a few months ago, sang this song at the auditions. Liked it then and still like it now, much prefer "Song for the deaf". They are never going to make the big time but they are a decent band.

If that's true they did a great job of hiding it in that song! :):)
