Hi, I am think of selling my car privately. I have no idea what price to look for it.

Its a 2006 Volkswagen Golf Comfortline 1.9Tdi, 5 Door, 105BHP, Diesel, Custom interior. Absolutely fantastic car really. 100000KM on the clock. Just Passed its first NCT in October.

Could anyone in the industry give me an idea what i would get for it?

    What's a custom interior?

Advertise around €7950 and be prepared to take a bit less. That's if you want to sell it quickly. Maybe aim a bit higher if you arn't in a rush.

Not in a rush at all. I have a job etc but getting a bit sick of the doom and gloom, might high tail it out of here at the end of the summer. Thanks for the suggestion, couple of lads were telling me the fact that its a diesel might increase its value?

As in you chose beige instead of grey or some aftermarket tat? If factory a good shampoo would be worth it when selling.

Also, first nct in feb?!? Import?

By February I clearly meant October. Sorry about that I was full sure it was more recent than that. Time flies eh? Not an import, came out of al Hayes in portumna originally, I bought it used July 2008.

Not sure what you mean by after Market tat, the car came out of the manufacturers with a beige interior. I think it looks nice, very comfortable.

No I understand, a ridiculous mistake to make. Glad i made it here first, The entire service history is in the owners manual anyway.

So would everyone agree around 8000 would be the most I could get for her?

I have a 06 1.9tdi sport and im half afraid to see what the valve is .Best way check out vw garage websites anything they offer take about a 1000 0r 1500 off the price for private sale . Is your Timing belt done? If not that will decrease valve as well. The car tax has made an ass of car values on the old tax system

Don't put "custom interior" in the ad as all you will get is people saying its not one, as it's a factory oem interior. i would advertise it at 7K tbh

+1, I think its called 'extended interior trim' or something similar, it's not a custom interior (which may put people off anyway as it sounds like an aftermarket mod).

At that age and that mileage I think 8k is a bit hopeful myself.

OP, are you advertising it here to sell it? It sounds it....

Anyway, look at carzone, cbg, autotrader, etc for similar cars. You will then have an idea of what yours is worth.
