    hi all,

was looking at a car online and gave the seller a call, got the usualy story of low millage due to second family car that he used to go to work down the road, however i seen a L plate on it an a second look, so i google the number and got a driving school back.

It is a small hatchback for someone for a first car which would be perfect for a driving school.

It may well be a second familly car but now im supecious, and wondering would you walk away?

If it was a driving school car then why wasnt he up front about it. He has started off being dishonest so what else may he be hiding? If it was me I'd walk away.

if it was me I'd probably walk away from a driving school car, one can only imagine the abuse it's probably recevied.

Kind of like buying a rental car.

Condition of the clutch, brakes, gearbox and bodywork would be what I'd be looking at closely on an ex-driving school car. Of course the fact that he wasn't honest up front about the car's history would make me walk away.

A lot of driving schools give out L plates to their pupils for free advertising, the fact that it has L plates from a driving school wouldn't worry me. If it had the pyramid on the roof I'd be worried.

It'll only cost the price of a 2nd call to be certain.

googling phone numbers for ireland does not seem to work either i dident think reverse directory was possible in ireland

It does work, the person would have to have used there number on a website or advertisement before. It's nothing to do with directories.

I'd say being an ex driving school car the clutch has been ridden harder then a Thai whore!.. You know well the gears had probably been grinded to bits. Wheels have probably seen more curbs then pedestrians. Oh I would not touch it. Common sense really:)

Sometimes it takes google awhile to crawl the site, have they been up for long? Did you add a space after the "08*" part of the number?
