I was thinking about how in Germany when things where bad in the VW's & BMW's of the country the government did this. They Gave the company the dole money. They company put the staff on say a 3 days week. There for the company kept the staff on a low cost & the staff got 3/5's ish of their wage. The government got the tax from the VAT from staff buying things etc.

Here's my Plan I would offer €5000 to a company (Of course a job I can do.) to give me a 6 months contract. I would earn more then the €5000 back but the company would save. The government would save. And I will not be here at home looking at boards all day waiting for a job.

    What do people think?

Not sure if it'd make much difference, but could you give more info...

What area(s) would you be able to work in? And how much would you be working for? Min Wage?

It'd still only make sense for someone to take you on if they needed an employee (remember the employer will still have a negative cash out flow).

At least you're thinking outside the box - good luck.

I worked as Technician in Manufaturing. Pay would be going rate for that job. ie. Average industrial wage. With employer prsi & wages maybe for 6 months it would cost €18000 normal. With this €5000 from my redundance it would only cost them €13000. If they like me then they could keep me on or not. I am sure this could work for more then me. Many people out there living off their savings after lossing thsir job. Why not use some of it to get a job?

great idea, but i can already see many many mountains of beurocrisy red tape preventing it if it was done in any legal manner
