Does anyone have any recommendations on the best pub in the city centre to watch the golf in 3D.

would be ideal if it was in a separate section, so you could get a decent seat, a bit of ciunas, a decent pint.

I know messers, o'neills on suffolk st, the bank all have it but just wondering if anyone has recommendations on the best place to go?

Also do you rent 3D glasses? I have a couple of pairs from going to see that dreadful movie Avatar, will they work?

Cheers, could be a boards.ie night out in it? I'm going in for the Friday.

For those on the Southside of town Revels in Rathfarnham Village has 3d.

I watched some of the Ryder Vup in O'Neills on Suffock St. they had loads of TVs and some of them were set to 3D. Failing that the woolshed is generally the best place for sport in the city centre
To be honest, Golf in 3D is a bit meh, every now and again you get a decent angle or a fancy 3d graphic but that’s it. I wouldn’t be bothered

The Laurels in Clondalkin has the footy in 3D from time to time (or maybe all the time?) so I'd say they'll have this too. Might drop down for a nose to see what it's like. Have to say, I love watchin the big tourneys in the comfort of me own home though.

I have sometimes been out in a pub when the Masters is on - usually the Thurs or Friday night - and tbh for me it's neither a great night out (because you're watching the tv) nor is it a good tv viewing experience (because you're out and there's people who want to talk while you're watching golf/listening to Ken) :)

Has to be at home for me...

A bit off topic but Sky have tons of preview stuff on from Mon. Can't wait and love the big posters around.

Was putting the preview in Sky+ but when checking BBC listings they don't seen to have coverage on Thurs???? Are BBC only showing the weekend or that?

I have to recommend the living room on Cathal brugah street , they have a projected 200" 3D screen and its amazing , not sure if any one else has the system them have in there yet.

Have watched a few football games on 3D in there and brought the boys with me and they were blown away by it.

They have a facebook page and I think you can book the tables rite in front of the screen.

Il be glued to it at home :D

So you do need to bring the glasses with you to the pubs, is that right?.

I'm heading for Revels in Rathfarnham.
