sky multi room

    hi there im getting sky in with multiroom i got an eircom line put in my sitting room ,sad to leave magnet for the broadband ,i couldnt care less for there crappy tv , back to the point i only have 1 eircom line thats connected to my phone and broadband question how do they connect both sky boxs with the one phone line more to the point will there be wires trailing from sitting room to my daughter bedroom ,,btw i live in a flat ,thanks

    You are meant to have a phone line at each box for multi-room. The reason is so Sky can request a callback from each box so they can verify they both call from the same number (i.e. They are at the same address).

    Yes wires will go across your house or you will buy wireless phone extension base(base+satellite) 50e+each satellite 30e

    If you know someone half way tech minded he can install a new port wired from the original one. We have that in our house and it works like a charm.

    However we don't have any of our Sky boxes plugged in and it never affected our billing. It's just a nuisance when we want to order a pay per view service (which we only did once) and have to call.
