    Not cut but I managed to open one <snip> Was a kryptonite iirc, one of the yellow ones.

    No, but I had my bike vandalised while locked up with one - not much you can do about that. I'm not sure if they tried to steal it and failed, or were just being malicious.

    Probably both once they realised they weren't making off with your bike.

    Apparently one tactic is to damage the bike superficially, r damage parts like the wheels, so that the owners leave the bikes there for a long enough period of time that they can come back with the proper tools...

    But as an answer, no, never had a bike stolen with a decent lock, more often than not one decent and one adequate on it. Did have one stolen from my gf's house though. That annoyed me!

    ive poppped a u lock with a car scissors jack before it was a cheap brand tho.Tried the same with a krypto....no way in hell was it happenin

    How much did you get for the bike? ;)

    I hope the crappy cable lock remains the norm as it means thieves don't bother to think too much about how to open a decent lock. I am not in any way selfish!

    Was my own bike, lost the keys back when I was in school :(
