    Hi All
Looking for a bit of advise. I have a 2006 Citroen C3 in perfect nick with 29000 kilometers on the clock. I am looking to upgrade to a 2008 opel astra - i'm wondering what sort of price i should be looking for from a garage. I know garages are selling 06 C3's for around 7k but what i'm wondering is, how much should i be looking for from the garage??

No way they are selling for 7k firstly. Maybe 5. Tops imo. Probably less.

What price people ask for their cars on cbg or carzone and what they actually end up getting for them are too completely different things. Also the trade-in price is not the same as the selling price.

Remember when trading a car in against a newer car the trade-in price and sticker price of the new car are not the important figures, trade-in figures can be inflated to look like you are getting a great deal. So a garage giving a high trade-in price for your old car probably has the new car priced high also to make the difference back. It is the cost to change figure is what you should be concerned with.

cbg is pretty much dead in the water nowadays.
Try carzone for (crazy) retail prices and donedeal for private sales.
The trade-in price that most garages will offer you will be below anything that you find on either of these sites.
