How long does it take mechanic to change oil in a ford fiesta 01 zetec? Would it be done in an hour, say?

I'd say 15 minutes max of actual work on it, longest time is waiting for the old oil to drain out which might take half an hour just to be sure it's gone. So under an hour from the time he gets it until all done with a good 30 minutes of that to sit back and relax.

An hour would be the time normally quoted as the norm. While the oil is draining its good practice to inspect the brakes, tyres, visual check of suspension parts etc etc.
